Details of first project 'Painters Posting Paintings:
A collection of approximately 250 works on paper have been created by 18 artists based around the UK. Each piece has been collaborated on by two to three artists after being passed by post over the course of a year.
The idea emerged from a feeling of post art school blues and the desire to connect with a group of painters beyond a few appreciative comments on Instagram. The process was designed to be a side project for each artist, with no expectations since every piece could be reworked by another artist. The exhibition is revealing of this free way of working. Although limited materially by what paper can handle and in size by what fits through a letterbox, the collaborations present a stimulating glimpse into the rich ideas and processes that feed into the practices of these contemporary artists.

Details of second project, 'Painters Showing Paintings'
The project returns in a world very different from the last one. With the possibility of exhibition openings looking bleak, 'Painters Showing Paintings' is an active response to give artists the opportunity to make their own exhibitions at home. 32 artists will be paired up, and each pairing will send 5 to 10 small works to each other. The work received will act as source material and upon receiving it, each artist will make work in response to this and then document it as a mini-show.
